HISTORY OF NIKE
 




     Nike is a well-known sport equipment shop. They operate in more than 170 countries around the world with more than 30,000 employees across six continents. Along the way, Nike has established a strong Brand Portfolio with several wholly-owned companies including Cole Haan, Converse, Hurley International, NIKE Golf, and Umbro Ltd. The brilliant vision and direction of Nike leads them to achieve success and recognition. In 2010, Nike’s name is listed as one of the 100 Best Corporate Companies and one of the World’s Top Sustainable Stocks. Other than that, Nike received Top Score in Design Innovation from the Ceres. Also, Nike takes a responsibility for the community as they implement the recycling programs, reduce their carbon footprints and fully support the greening industry.



     Nike originally named as Blue Ribbon Sports, which was created by Philip Knight and his coach Bill Bowerman on 25 of January in 1964. The company initially operated as a distributor for Japanese shoe maker Onitsuka Tiger. As the company’s profits grew quickly, in 1966, BRS opened its first retail store, located in Santa Monica of California. By 1971, the relationship between BRS and Onitsuka Tiger was nearing an end. BRS then prepared to launch its own line of footwear. Therefore they have to design a new logo for the company. The Swoosh was then created by Carolyn Davidson. It represents the wing in the famous statue of the Greek Goddess of victory, Nike. The first footwear line to carry this design was released in February of 1972. In 1978, BRS officially renamed itself to Nike. Beginning with Ilie Nastase, the first professional athlete to sign with Nike, the sponsorship of athletes became a key marketing tool for the rapidly growing company. By 1980, Nike had reached a 50% market sharing in the United States athletic shoe market, and they became a listed company in December of that year. Nike’s first national television advertisement ran in October of 1982 during the broadcast of the New York Marathon. The advertisements were created by Wieden + Kennedy. Together, Nike and Wieden + Kennedy have created many print and television ads and the agency continues to be Nike’s primary today. They also created the famous slogan “Just Do It” for a 1988 Nike advertise campaign, which was chosen by Advertising Age as one of the top five advertise slogans of the 20th century. Throughout the 1980s, Nike expanded its product line to include many other sports and regions throughout the world.



     Nike produces a wide range of sports equipment. They engaged in design, development and worldwide marketing of footwear, apparel, equipment, and accessory products. Their products include shoes and apparel for sports activities like football, basketball, tennis, athletics and golf for men, women, and children. It also sells a line of performance equipment under the Nike’s brand name, including bags, socks, sport balls, eyewear and other equipment designed for sports activities.

     In 1987, Nike first released the Air Max series as a line of footwear product. Since then, Nike invested many new technologies which lower the weight and increase the protectiveness of the footwear. Till now, Nike Air Max is still one of the most popular and fashionable footwear among the competitors. (Introduce) In 1985, Nike introduced the Air Jordan I (point); a high performance basketball shoe which designed for shockproof, bouncy and speed up the acceleration rate. It was named after a famous NBA basketball player-Michael Jordon. Since then, the Air Jordan series has been very popular for the basketball fans. Nike keeps improve the quality and outfit of the Jordan series. Up to now, there are 25 additions of Air Jordan. (Introduce) These magnificent products made Nike well known in worldwide and popular in youth culture and hip hop culture.



     Nike’s marketing strategy is an important component of the company’s success. Other than television advertisement I have mentioned before, sponsoring some famous top athlete player is another strategy for Nike to promote their brand name. Starting from the Romanian tennis player Ilie Năstase, Nike has been one of the major clothing and footwear sponsors for the leading tennis, basketball, football, golf and America football players, team or even a national team. They sponsor the athlete to use their product in the match. Therefore, the product will be shown by the podcast to everyone who watched the match. Taking the World Cup 2010 as an example, Nike sponsored many of the football team including Brazil, Netherland, Socceroo and many other teams (introduce). They also create a slogan: “Write the future”. These advertisements could booster the marketing of the sportswear and the other by-product which produce by Nike and increase the profit of the company.



     Although 2010 has a significant macro-economic challenge, Nike finished the year strongly with clear opportunities for growth and maintains a good financial shape. Moving into a new fiscal year, Nike will have to face more challenges like input costs, foreign currency and market volatility. Nike will try to continue to serve customer just as they did in the last year and they will not leave any key growth opportunities untapped. China is a great example. Nike is being the leading force in this incredible market. In the following year, Nike will follow their goal as to carry on the legacy of innovative thinking, whether to develop products that help athletes of every level of ability reach their highest potential. Also, Nike aims to create business opportunities that set them apart from the competition and provide values for their shareholders. They will continue to engage and connect with their customer and fulfill the expectation of the customer and other shareholders.



     In conclude, Nike was created by Philip Knight and Bill Bowerman. They sell products including shoes and apparel for sports activities in over 170 countries around the world. Also, they invent new technologies which may apply on their products to improve the qualities. To promote, Nike is engaged with television advertisement and sponsorship, which are the key component for them to success. In no doubt, Nike is one of the top companies no matter in terms of sport apparels, fashion or clothing.



3 BEST PLACES TO EAT
 
 
 
 
            In Malaysia have a lot of restaurants in every country. I would like to recommend 3 place to eat in Selangor .There are also my favourite place to eat .The place is The Rack Boutique Café, Waffle Krazes and Chief Ikan Bakar.
 

 
 

     The Rack Boutique Café is known as western food .The famous menu in The Rack Boutique Café is “Western Dulang”. In ‘Western Dulang” they served spaghetti, meatball, French fries, chicken chop together in one big plate (dulang) .Furthermore, ‘Western Dulang” it suitable to eat 3 person or 4 person.The price also cheap which is RM35 . Other than that, we also can eat another food like shellout, nanchos cheeses, bingsu and others. For drink, they serve big cup. They have many flavour. One of my favourite flavour is vanilla. It’s not really sweet .However the price also cheap which RM5. We can spend money not more than RM25 at this café.Their location was at One Selayang near Hospital UITM Selayang. Other than that’s, they also have delivery food .So if we are lazy to go out we can called or whatapp to deliver the food. As the result, The Rack Boutique Café’s is suitable for people who like to eat western.




     Next, Waffle Krazes offers a delectable option of food. They have various waffles and flavour and also they have some of western food. The waffles it’s a big size of waffles and make us full without eating heavy food. Besides that, their waffle is not like simple waffles, they have modified the way waffles are provided and add other accessories such as fruit and ice cream to change the waffle taste to make it tasty.For example, one of their waffle flavours is “ waffle dfrutti “ which is the surface waffles rubbed with chocolate flavor and they put on strawberry on the surface of waffles. In addition, they also have western food like chicken chop but this shop main menus is Waffle. Lastly, the location is near SMK Darul Ehsan , Selayang Baru. They daily open on Monday to Sunday from 2pm to 10pm. Consequently, who want to have a tea time in the evening can go to Waffles Krazes because it’s suitable for that time.

   





       Finally, Chief Ikan Bakar serveThailand cuisine and seafood, shortly what you want to eat. Also they have an ice cream, various slices and fish crackers for appetizers. They have menu set and also have ala carte menus. Chief Ikan Bakar main menus is fish. Besides that, they offered a fresh fish, fresh squid and fresh prawn. For example, we can pick our own fish at this restaurant. Their also provide fresh fruit to make juices. For me, my favourite menus was clam back . Chief Ikan was at Sungai Tua which is road to Ulu Yam. Chief Ikan Bakar daily open at 6pm – 2am. This restaurant suitable for family dinner.

     The conclusion is, there is three place I suggest to go because they offers affordable price. It’s also suitable for family dinner or for those who want to go date with their friends. 
HUMAN RELY TO MUCH ON TECHNOLOGY
 
 
                                            

           In this time the technology offers us a big number of services that facilitate in a monumental way our lives, its go from phone services, internet, automatic teller, the use of satellites for the search of objects or people, these technological services help us for make our life a little more pleasant and easier to take but the same as their advantages these technology possess a great quantity of disadvantages which affect the development of the work life, the family environment, the social relationships and they affect the health of people that don't have a rational use of the technology.
 
            The affects of the technology in the work life, although it is certain the technology makes that our work becomes something easy and don't unite heavy task as everybody thinks, but the problem is the need to be able to use these means a preparation or inclusive an entire advanced study and in some cases the companies have opted to change the whole production system for you scheme which carry out the work of some more employees quickly, these employees they are replaced for these you scheme then when not possessing the study or preparation for the manipulation of these they cannot work generating this way unemployment which affects the families of this people.
 
           Another of the cases of the technology affects the human being is in the family environment, many of the parents opt to buy to children video games and this type of apparatuses for maintain busy your children by the way time, the problem is when not being regulated the time that the boy spends with the video game, they prefer to play and this way the times of family communion become every smaller time. Another of the cases is that with the easiness of the nets and the internet the parents are taken more work of the bill for their house, and they don't worry about the time that they sacrifice that their works absorb them, you give uniting likewise at their families and their time of rest.

          Subsequently I would like to mention the affection that the technology provides to the social relationships, because in many of the cases the technology is not used in a responsible way and places called chats have been created where people know other people, and it is not that is wrong, the true problem is when the person that uses this place is locked in him and begins to not feeling the necessity to socialize with real people and a relationship begins only becomes intimate with the computer or cellular.

          As a concussion I can say that the technology helps us a lot in our live, it help us to communicate, to shorten distances and to have a good time but if the sufficiently responsible thing is not been, it could generate more problems of than it solves and it is here where we should consider and to control the time that we spend or we use with the technological devices because we should offer that these are an useful tool of which we can take out a lot of benefit and not an instrument that restricts our life and it causes him uneasiness

SAYANGI MALAYSIAKU!
 
 


Malaysia is well known for its multi-racial country. In Malaysia, they are three big races which is Malay, Chinese, and Indian. Every races have their own culture like food.    
 
                  Malay food, in generally is rich with herbs like lemongrass and garlic. hey have a lot of traditional food like Nasi Lemak, Rendang and ketupat. Nasi Lemak is a food which is the rice was cook with coconut milk. Besides that, Nasi Lemak should have cucumber that have been cut in smaller pieces, anchovies and boiled egg or fried egg. Usually people eat Nasi Lemak as breakfast in the morning. Moreover, Rendang and ketupat they usually cook when it's come to Malay festival like Hari Raya Aidilfitri. Rendang also can eat with rice. We can choose either to cook Chicken Rendang or Beef Rendang. So there is some of Malay traditional food. It easier to found this type of food.
 
                Chinese food in Malaysia are from he different parts of China which is the early immigrants originated. From immigrants, they have bring a lot of type's. There are some Chinese traditional food like Dumplings and Moon Cake. Dumplings are consisting of meat and mixed vegetables, wrapped into a pieces of thin dough and usually fillings with shrimps, beef and others. Dumpling is  food they should have eaten when they celebrate Chinese New Year. Next, is moon cake is type of small cake. Moon cake was made with bean paste, lotus paste or lotus seed fillings, each with egg yolk I desired. Other than that, moon cake usually served at Moon Cake Festival or we can called it Ghost Festival. As the result any races can eat these Chinese food but for Malay races, we have to find the halal one.
 
                 Most of the people in Malaysia really like to eat Indian food and also some Malays trader are sold Indian food like roti canai. So there are some of Indian food in Malaysia are very famous which is Tosai and Vada. Firstly, tosai is a crepe made from rice and black lentils. Tosai was rolled as in a wrap and also tosai is cooked on single side only. However, tosai was served with side dishes sambar (dhal) or curry. Other than that, we can eaat tosai at Mamak restaurant. Next, Vada was made  from potatoes or legumes and also including with pigeon pea, chickpea, black gram and green gram. Besides that, vegetables can also add to improve the taste. Vada  is suitable to eat for breakfast and also snack. For the result, this type of food usually have served at Mamak which any races can eat.
 
                  The conclusion are, Malaysia have a lot of food from different races. Every races can eat those food. Malaysia can also called as 'Placed to eat'. In Malaysia also have west food. Malaysia is suitable for the people who is type of food hunting people.
